Pupils with responsibility for school councils were invited to the first school council training day to be held at the Memorial Hall, Barry. The event was focussed on raising awareness of the new school council legislation, sharing good practice and looking at how this network could be developed.

The event was to help develop school councils, develop student and teacher skills in running school councils and to take forward other initiatives on increasing youth participation.
